10 Year Overview
On November 4, 2025 voters in Bloomfield Hills Schools approved a Sinking Fund Replacement Proposal. The district replaced and extended the millage to levy 1.5 mills for a period of 10 years. Thank you voters!

Fall 2026
Throughout summer 2026, Bloomfield Hills Schools completed a wide range of improvements made possible through careful planning and responsible stewardship of voter-approved funds. From essential infrastructure and facility upgrades to enhanced safety and security measures and strategic technology investments, this work strengthens our schools and supports safe, welcoming environments for students and staff.
The projects below highlight how the district invested in our schools during summer 2026, using Sinking Fund 2025 resources to address current needs while protecting and improving our facilities for years to come.
Facilities Update
- Conant Elementary
- Parking lot reconfiguration to improve traffic flow and safety during arrival and dismissal
- Additional parking lot lights for security and safety
- Expansion and improvement of sidewalk network for enhanced pedestrian safety
- Replacement of the asphalt area on the playground
- Way Elementary
- Improvements to the sidewalk network to enhance accessibility and student safety
- Site and building drainage upgrades to mitigate water-related issues and protect the facility
- South Hills Middle School
- Chalmers lake stormwater improvements to enhance water management and environmental compliance
- Upgrades in the courtyard to improve usability and reduce maintenance

- Student Technology
- Elementary student device refresh, DK through 5th grade. A combination of iPads and Chromebooks for various grade levels
- Building AV and Network Infrastructure Upgrades - T10/T11
- BHHS - Non-classroom digital signage upgrades, auditorium AV enhancements, Aux gym audio system, main gym audio system upgrades, pool audio system upgrades
- Eastover - Cafeteria AV upgrades, Media Center AV upgrades
- Lone Pine - Cafeteria AV upgrades, Media Center AV upgrades
- Booth - re-cable, Datacenter storage and backup systems, conference room upgrades
- Network switches and access points to support various district initiatives

Through careful planning and responsible stewardship of voter approved funds, Bloomfield Hills Schools is addressing essential infrastructure needs, enhancing safety and security systems, and strategically investing in technology that supports teaching and learning. Below is a plan for the 2026 year using money from the Sinking Fund 2025 to improve schools across our district.
