I want to take a moment to reflect on the school year so far and thank you for your continued partnership and support. It has been a year of meaningful progress, important conversations, and steady momentum across our district.
Together, we have accomplished a great deal. We launched a new mission, vision, and tagline: Belong Here, Excel Anywhere; and are nearing completion of our strategic planning process that will provide our direction for the next four years. Our BHS community approved a 10-year sinking fund that will ensure a reliable bus fleet and position our district strongly for future facility and technology improvements. At the same time, this year has required us to navigate complex challenges and make difficult decisions. Bloomfield Hills Schools continues to address budget realities that will require thoughtful planning and, at times, difficult choices to ensure the long-term stability of our district.
I have had the privilege of attending athletic events filled with incredible energy, demonstrating our athletes resilience, teamwork, and pride. I have seen amazing performances in theaters, music, robotics, arts, and a wide range of co-curricular activities, all exemplifying the opportunities for belonging and the dedication of our students. I’ve enjoyed being in our classrooms, reading with students during March is Reading Month and visiting schools and classrooms alongside Board of Education and cabinet members. Each experience is a reminder of the exceptional learning, talent, and commitment that define our students and staff across Bloomfield Hills Schools.
