The Master Property Planning Process (MPP) is coming to a close. After many months of community dialogue, research, and sifting through proposals, we are nearly complete with this phase of our district planning.
- Wabeek: The sale of Wabeek was authorized by the Board of Education and is moving forward as planned.
- Hickory Grove: Several meetings were conducted over the summer with the residents near the Hickory Grove site and were well attended. Information regarding MPP was presented to the residents. After extensive background research, examining enrollment trends, and listening to community members, the sale of Hickory Grove will be taken up by the Board of Education during their regular meeting on September 15, 2016.
- Pine Lake: It is likely Pine Lake will eventually be demolished. Prior to the demolition, memorabilia will be available for community members to collect. The bricks outside of the site have already been safely relocated and the tiles are in the process of being digitally archived. We are formulating plans for the relocation of the bell.
- Lahser: We continue to investigate all possibilities for leasing/sharing the property as well as the possibility of partial/full demolition. At this time, there are no concrete plans, but we hope to identify a path forward soon.
