Free Event Reminder for Thursday, May 22
Young Hacks Academy - Free Family Night at BHMS
Young Hacks Academy is holding a free YHA Family Night at Bloomfield Hills Middle School on 5/23/19 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. This event is for students and parents to experience the activities (coding a video game together, playing an unplugged game, etc.). YHA is holding two summer camps this summer (7/8-7/12 and 7/15 - 7/19) so come on out and see if the YHA experience is right for your child. "We founded Young Hacks Academy in 2013 to help kids develop important skills through a problem-based learning model that employs a variety of fun, energetic activities to promote collaboration and creative thinking. Whether your child is new to programming or an experienced coder, YHA will challenge him/her to think deeply, work in teams, and create video games about socially relevant topics. Even if our kids don't grow up to be computer programmers or engineers, a baseline technological literacy is essential for success in almost any 21st-century career."

  • Please register online or call 248.433.0885 to register for the YHA event to help us know how many individuals will be participating. Thank you!
