Course Offerings

High School

High school students have a variety of summer program options. The learning format is virtual, with in-person office hours for tutoring and support offered on the Bloomfield Hills High School campus. Summer programming for high school students offers two options; (1) recover credits for a course that was not successfully passed during the school year, (2) earn credit for a required course in order to advance and accelerate their high school curriculum.

The deadline for E2020 (credit recovery) is June 23 and Michigan Virtual is June 30.

Bloomfield Hill Summer Academy

For students who have completed kindergarten through eighth grade, the BHS Summer Academy will build academic confidence as well as provide enriched social experiences through the summer months. The learning format will be in-person, with no charge for students, and open to all students enrolled with Bloomfield Hills Schools during the 2022-23 school year. To balance the need for a summer break, classes will be held for two and a half hours, three days a week, for five weeks.

9 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

In person through the BHS K-8 Summer Academy (see description in Grades K-8 Tab) which has both direct and indirect support provided by certified special education teachers.
Virtual with teacher guided live-instruction with a focus on math and literacy.
Self-guided through online programming with a focus on math, literacy, and social skills.
