Each year there is a district-wide Move Up Day when students who will be moving to a different building next school year spend time at that building. This year Move Up Day is on Friday, May 25, which is also 1/2 day of school. 5th, 6th and 7th graders will be dismissed at 11:35 a.m.  Here is how Move Up Day will work for BHMS students:

8th graders should NOT report to BHMS at all on May 25. Instead, follow these instructions. There is no need to call 8th grade absences into the BHMS attendance line.

  • 8th Graders Who WILL Attend BH High School: Students should go directly to the high school campus at the times indicated in this letter from BH High School Principal, Charlie Hollerith. The letter refers to high school bus transportation. Here is the BH High School Bus Schedule (best viewed on a computer screen due to print size). Please refer questions about buses to the BHS Transportation Department at 248-341-6290.

  • 8th graders who WILL NOT attend BH High School: These students do not need to report to school on that day. You do NOT have to call in their absence from BHMS.

5th, 6th and 7th Graders: Students in these grades will participate in some activities with the teachers from the grades that they will be in next year. The morning start time does not change, and the 1/2 day ends at 11:35 a.m. Buses will run at that time. If you pick your student up, please do so at 11:35 a.m.

4th Graders from Way and Conant will start the day at their elementary schools before visiting BHMS: Please open and carefully review these Move Up Day Instructions for Way and Conant 4th Graders so you know what time to pick up your 4th grader from BHMS, and other pertinent information.
