Bloomfield Township Public Library

Starting Tuesday, September 7, the Library enters a new phase in its reopening plan: cautious full-service. The Library resumes its regular operating hours, Monday – Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., Friday, 9:30 – 6:30 p.m., Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, 12 noon – 5:30 p.m. The Library is once again renting meeting rooms to Bloomfield Township residents and businesses. The Library encourages everyone to wear a mask.

West Bloomfield Township Library Opens Doors

As school resumes, the West Bloomfield Township Public Library has opened more doors. The 45-minute time limit on visits has ended, study rooms are open to West Bloomfield Township Library cardholders, and all seating has returned. Select youth spaces and toys are once again available, and the Library's hours have expanded. The Friends of the Library is also now accepting book donations.

Banned Books Week

September 26 – October 2
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read by spotlighting current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools. Each year, the American Library Association compiles a list of the most frequently challenged books of the prior year, which you can find on their website.
