BHHS Students Score in Rhythmic Gymnastics Regionals
At the recent Level 9 Western Senior Regionals in Oakland, CA, Bloomfield Hills Schools students accomplished high scores. Reese Renton (12th grade) finished in the top 25 and earned a trip to Nationals this June with a score of 85.450. Jana Todromovich (11th grade) finished 34th with a score of 80.550. The students competed as part of Oakland Rhythmic Gymnastics Club across all four apparatuses (ball, clubs, hoop, and ribbon).
Athletes Take Regional Crowns, Set Sights on States
At the recent Track and Field Regionals, Evan Knox (12th grade) took the title in both the 100m and 200m, Gabriella Jeffries (11th grade) finished first in the Long Jump and the 400m, and Kate Jenkins (12th grade) crossed first in the 3200m, with all advancing to States. Additional state track qualifiers include the 4x100m relay team of Knox, Derrick Lee Jr. (11th grade), Jace Reed (10th grade), and Jeremy Salomon (9th grade).
The Girls Varsity Tennis Team also won their tough regional, setting up a possible repeat as State Champions from their 2021 season!
BHHS Lacrosse Teams Advance in Playoffs
Both the Boys and Girls Varsity Lacrosse teams are continuing to rack up wins in the playoffs. The Girls (13-1-1) will take on Birmingham Seaholm in the Regional 3 Final on June 1 at 8 p.m. at the Troy Athens field. The Boys Team (6-8) will be in the Regional Quarterfinal on June 3 against at 6 p.m. (TBD opponent) at the Howell-Parker Middle School Field.
