The Library has integrated the Summer Reading program with Summer Challenge activities so children and teens can engage in a variety of hands-on summer reading and learning experiences. Choose from dozens of new and exciting challenges. Learn about music, science, math, technology, art, history and language arts. This interconnected approach expands opportunities to learn and increases the fun.

Children, teens and adults can earn books, Brag Tags, online badges and rewards as they read and complete learning challenges.

Summer Reading is for pre-readers, too! The Library’s Summer Read to Me program is perfect for parents and pre-readers. Parents can help children from birth to age five develop important early literacy skills and build a strong foundation for future reading success. Read books and have fun with challenge activities while helping your child develop pre-reading and other cognitive skills.

To get started, create an account at www.westbloomfieldlibrary.org/summer. You’ll be ready to start reading and completing challenges when Summer Reading 2018 kicks off.
