First grade students in Bloomfield Hills Schools had a blast on a field trip back in time to the Wing Lake Schoolhouse. The one-room schoolhouse is the oldest school in Bloomfield. On the field trip, first grade students participated in four rotating stations: reading, writing, games, and chores.
Congratulations to Conant Cub, Alaina Walker! Alaina's vibrant artwork has been chosen by a committee to be featured as the centerpiece of the 2024 Bloomfield Hills Schools annual art exhibition, "Art from the Hills." The art will adorn the invitations, posters, district website, and all promotional materials associated with the event.
Students in Mrs. Lirette's fourth grade class at Conant are provided multiple avenues dependent on their comfort level to participate in a lesson about book themes.
Bloomfield Hills Schools is proud to have over 35 different robotics teams across the district. Each year, coaches and students come together to tackle real-world problems using STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts and methods to discover innovative solutions.

Fourth grade students in Bloomfield Hills Schools participated in the annual Disability Awareness Workshop. This hands-on activity based workshop traveled to each elementary building in the district to help children become more aware of disabilities.

Python Programming is up and running again at Conant Elementary. This after school coding club is run by current Bloomfield Hills High School senior, Vijay Daita, with assistance from his former 4th grade Conant Teacher, Michael Hamlin.

Across Bloomfield Hills Schools this past semester, students have been hard at work to help our schools receive the No Place for Hate designation. An initiative of the Anti-Defamation League, No Place for Hate involves students leading the way, designing and implementing three activities over the course of a school year to gain the designation.

The public hearings are intended to provide the community with an opportunity to evaluate the proposal and provide feedback before the school board votes for adoption. After feedback is collected from the public hearings, the board of education will be asked for a vote to approve the new curriculum for use in Bloomfield Hills Schools 7th and 8th grade health classes this year.
On Friday, May 28, 2021, there will be a transition day for many of our students, commonly referred to as “Move Up” day. This is a half day for all students.
