summer camper at nature centerThe Johnson Nature Center offers a variety of instructional programs that support classroom learning. All programs are based on specific science and social studies content expectations(GLCE's) as outlined by the Michigan Department of Education.

The programs are listed here for Bloomfield Hills Schools and for other visiting school districts.

Programs are also offered for scout groups, families and adults, and special events such as birthday parties.

COVID 19 GUIDELINES

Gathering restrictions for recreational facilities: Gatherings are permitted at lower risk recreational facilities, provided that occupancy is limited to 32 people in the Interpretative Center.

Pre-screen form is required before entry into the Interpretative Center. The online form can be completed HERE or on-site.


 

 


CURRENT COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

FAMILY-FRIENDLY FISHING EVENT

Join us for our annual fishing event along with Trout Unlimited, who is also supporting the event.  This is a popular event and requires pre-registration to reserve your spot.  The fees help support our community based programs. 

Bring your own fishing pole or borrow one of ours.  Registration is based on a per person fee with a maximum of 6 people being in a group and registered together.  Each group will be spaced from one another along the waters edge.  You may request being located near another registered person/group during your online registration process.  

Children and adults 2 years and older:  $10 per person

Children 1 year and under are free.
