In April 2024, the Bloomfield Hills Schools Foundation received 57 grant proposals, requesting approximately $125,000 in total funds. After the proposals were evaluated and ranked by a grant review panel, 24 grants were selected, and awarded over $20,000 in total funding. Approved BHSF grant proposals focused on technology tools, math manipulatives, diverse literature, musical instruments, field trips, social/emotional learning resources, new physical education programming, disability awareness materials, and other unique learning opportunities.
Upon further collaboration with the Learning Services department, alternative funding sources were used to potentially support an additional 13 grants! These additional grants include STEM coding/robotics resources, diverse literature, musical instrument storage, decoding texts, and much more!
