Only three years after taking the MHSAA league by storm, the BHHS Girls Gymnastics team had their best year yet! The season started strong with the team winning all but one of their meets. They then finished second out of 12 teams at their Regional Meet and qualified for their first ever MHSAA State Finals. 

At the team State Finals on 3/26, BHHS finished as the top team in their region and took 5th Place in the State! Jackson won the meet with a team score of 144.775, followed by Rockford (144.50), Grand Ledge (143.075), Stevenson (142.125) and the Black Hawks took 5th with a team score of 141.225.

Team Results:

• Vault     35.450 - 5th in the State
• Bars      34.425 - 7th in the State
• Beam    35.250 - 3rd in the State
• Floor     36.100 - 8th in the State
• Overall  141.225 - 5th in the State

At the Individual State Finals on 3/27, the qualifying gymnasts from BHHS held their own against the best of the best from all four Regions. Two of BHHS gymnasts medaled at the meet. Anna German finished 10th in the State on Bars and Maeve Wright finished 3rd in the State on Floor, 6th in the State on Beam and 5th in the State All Around!

• Chloe Gilcher - 8.55 (36th in the State - Div 2)
• Anna German - 8.825 (23rd in the State - Div 1)
• Katie Noettl - 8.90 (19th in the State - Div 1)
• Kalyn Mullens - 9.075 (14th in the State - Div 1)
• Maeve Wright - 9.50 (3rd in the State - Div 1)

All Around:

BHHS is proud to recognize Gwen Arens, Anna German, Kalyn Mullens, Caitie Wallet, Sammi Desmond, Chloe Gilcher, Katie Noetti, Maeve Wright, Brooke Klien, Noelle Simonelli, Cameron Spanga, Libby Islar, Taryn Saroken and Madison Snyder for their unbelievable third season, along with Coaches Ashley Moskal and Amanda Allen.
