Quarantine Policy Change

The Oakland County Health Division (OCHD) now allows for a 10-day quarantine after close contact with a known COVID positive person. This decision is based on CDC and MDHHS guidelines, given the current downward trend in COVID-19 cases in Oakland County.

Bloomfield Hills Schools will adopt the 10-day quarantine after close contact with a known COVID positive person effective immediately for all schools, except Wing Lake and Bloomin’. Wing Lake and Bloomin’ have populations where mitigation efforts, like masking, are not possible so we are mandating that those locations continue to follow the 14-day quarantine period.

Those schools following the 10-day quarantine must do the following:

  • Continue daily symptom checks for the entire 14 days: there must be no symptoms consistent with COVID-19 during the that period;

  • Continue all mitigation strategies: masking; distance; hand-washing
