Oakland County Health Division and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) are reminding residents to take precautions from mosquito bites as cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) have been confirmed in 2 horses in Holly and Ortonville. To date, no human cases have been identified.
MDHHS also recommends out of an abundance of caution that officials consider postponing, rescheduling or cancelling outdoor activities occurring at or after dusk, particularly activities that involve children. This would include events such as late evening sports practices or games.
As part of the onboarding process with Zoom, BHS has now added students to the District Zoom Portal. This will improve security, support, and ease of login. Families will need to make sure their students log in to the Bloomfield Hills Zoom Portal prior to Monday morning classes.
Students and Families: Please review the Introduction to Using Zoom to help create the best possible virtual classroom experience.
If you run into any issues, please email BHS Tech support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Families, staff, and visitors/vendors are required to complete the daily pre-screen before coming to school. Students (not currently enrolled in the Bloomfield Virtual program) are attending school in-person in the hybrid model according to the phase-in timeline and must complete the pre-screen daily.
The pre-screen is available at www.bloomfield.org/pre-screen and can be completed from any computer, tablet, or mobile device. Paper copies are also available for those who wish to print the checklist for a home reference.
Students and staff do not need to display a screen or paper upon bus or building entry according to guidance received from the Oakland County Health Division. Visitors/Vendors must complete the digital pre-screen prior to building entry and visitors/vendors will be greatly limited to minimize exposure risk. Student Athletes will also be required to complete the digital pre-screen prior to participation in athletics.
Thank you for your cooperation and daily diligence in this process!
