Winter Park Now Open, Features Snow Tubing and More!

Get ready for some outdoor fun in the new year! Bowers Farm is now hosting Winter Park, a family-friendly experience full of activities. Winter Park features snow tubing under glow lights and music, ice skating (weather permitting), and bonfires.

Admission is free, but there is a rental fee for the tubes of $8 per person ($6 for Bowers Farm members).

A concessions stand and the Farm Store will be open as well. 

Winter Park will be be held January 8 - February 27, 2021, as follows:

  • Thursdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Bowers Farm is part of Bloomfield Hills Schools and is located at 1219 E. Square Lake Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Bond Update - 01/14/21

With the passage of the $200 million bond in August 2020, Bloomfield Hills Schools administrators and staff are excited and hard at work planning for the future of our schools. The plans for the new and renovated structures are educator-driven, to ensure that teachers have a direct impact in designing student-centered schools. To learn more check out the Bond Update from the January 14 Board of Education meeting.

School Board Recognition Month

Bloomfield Hills Schools joins school districts throughout Michigan to celebrate January as School Board Recognition Month. 

The seven elected trustees currently serving on the BHS Board of Education are: Howard Baron, Jennifer Cook, Lisa Efros, Paul Kolin, Siva Kumar, Michelle Southward, and Johnathan VanGemert. We would also like to extend a warm welcome to our three new Board members: Siva Kumar, Michelle Southward, and Johnathan VanGemert! 

The BHS Board Members will be formally recognized during the Board of Education Study Session on January 14, 2021.

Mask Reminders

As a reminder, please be sure your child’s mask follows the Bloomfield Hills Schools mask guidelines. Face masks can be either reusable or disposable. They should fit tightly over your entire nose and mouth. Masks must have school-appropriate graphics. Masks should NOT have valves. Masks with valves are not permitted in Bloomfield Hills Schools. Students and staff are welcome to wear face shields brought from home, but they are not required. They may be worn in addition to a face mask. Neck gaiters and bandannas are not sufficient face coverings. They may be worn in addition to a face mask. Neck gaiters must have school-appropriate graphics.
