The great deal of concern about shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical staff prompted this family team, Blair McKendrick and West Hills student Thomas Chen, to spring into action. They use 3-D printers from Blair’s business to make headbands for medical shields and then attach projector sheets. “We have already donated over 200 shields to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. Our biggest challenge is acquiring the projector sheets. We’ve looked everywhere online and all stores are out of stock”, explains Blair.
Thomas adds, “We are so appreciative of the sacrifice and risk medical staff make every day! We want to do whatever is in our control to help keep them safer.”
Please email email@example.com if you are able to donate projector sheets to allow them to continue production of face shields.
