2019 Distinguished Service Awards

In Bloomfield Hills Schools, staff are dedicated to providing a meaningful learning experience for each and every student.  The Distinguished Service Award was established in 1977 and is given annually to recognize extraordinary contributions and service by BHS staff members, community members, parents, Board members, and alumni.

Nominees for this award are exceptionally dedicated and consistently go above and beyond the call of duty.  They exemplify the district's core values, mission statement, and Portrait of a Learner. 

The 2019 winners are: Andrew Raine (Robotics Coach), Mark Honeyman (Teacher at West Hills Middle School), and Angela Parker (Teacher at Conant Elementary).

To be nominated for the Distinguished Service Award, individuals or groups must put together a video entry to explain why their nominee is deserving of the award.  Please enjoy the videos submitted by the 2019 nominators:

Governor's Top 30 Traveling Student Art Show - Congratulations Nia!

Congratulations to BHHS incoming junior, Nia Michalos, on being selected for the Governor's Top 30 Traveling Student Art Show! Nia's photography submission entitled Eggs was selected from over 500 submissions as one of 30 pieces on display. The exhibit is open now - August 23, 2019, at the Anton Art Center's Petitpren Community Gallery in Mt. Clemens.
