May 18, 2018: At this time, the district has elected to push back the Parent Portal password reset to Monday, May 21, 2018, rather than Friday, May 18, 2018. We hope this causes less inconvenience and less downtime and allows families the opportunity to access information this weekend, prior to the reset. In addition, families can now reach our support hotline at 1-833-221-9226 Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. EDT. The district is also offering hotline service for one Saturday - Saturday, May 19, from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. EDT at the same telephone number.
May 17, 2018: Though we encourage our students to take responsible action, sometimes they make choices that do not reflect our guiding principles. Unfortunately, a couple of our students made some poor choices lately, deciding to hack into our student information system, which houses all of our student and family data, and manipulate their personal grades, attendance, and lunch balance information.
Our highest priority is our students - their safety, their needs, and their overall education. That said, we also have a responsibility to you, the parents and guardians of our students. We take seriously our responsibility to gather and store your information. Therefore, we have partnered with forensic data experts to pour over our student information system to better understand the access the students gained and the information potentially acquired during their time in our data.
As a result, we now know several facts, which can be found at www.bloomfield.org/MISTAR2018. Please visit this website to learn more about this important issue.
As an extra precaution, we will be resetting all Parent Portal passwords on Friday, May 18, 2018, which will then require all parents/guardians to reset their individual password upon returning to the system. Instructions for resetting your password can be found at www.bloomfield.org/MISTAR2018.
