Bus Safety Week

National School Bus safety week begins the week of October 22, 2018. During this time, the transportation trainers will be stopping by schools to hand out posters and to teach bus safety.

Here is a schedule of events for that week:

  • On Monday, October 23, Special Needs classes will discuss with their students about the safe ways to evacuate a bus.
  • On Tuesday, October 24, Bloomfield Hills High school will practice front door evacuations upon arriving at the school.
  • On Wednesday, October 25, all of the middle schools will practice rear door evacuations upon arriving at school in the morning.
  • On Thursday, October 26, all of the elementary schools will practice rear door evacuations upon arriving at school in the morning.

We appreciate all of the bus drivers who take pride in putting our students' safety first!
