BHHS girls soccer tryouts are right around the corner! Register for tryouts on March 11-13, 2019.
The Bloomfield Hills wrestling team had 6 wrestlers place in the top 4 at the District Championship Saturday, February 9, which qualifies them for the Regional Championship on Saturday, February 16. Six regional qualifiers (ranked the 7th most underclassmen in the state of Michigan in Division 1) is the most qualified by a Bloomfield Hills wrestling team in over 20 years! More encouraging yet is all six wrestlers are underclassmen, including two 9th graders. Congratulations to Cole Rodriguez, Ben Perry, Jordan Jones, Lucas Abiadal, Lukeman Kohler, and Josh Wilson for their record-breaking accomplishments!
On Friday, February 8, the Black Hawks traveled to Lake Orion to face the Dragons. Leading the Black Hawks in scoring was senior guard, Ben Mutz and sophomore point guard, Mason Canfield. Both players finished with 17 points. Mutz, for the second consecutive game jump started the Black Hawk offensive with numerous threes in the first half. Canfield dished out 9 assists and hit numerous three pointers late in the fourth quarter. Senior guard, Robert Goldsberry played tough defense and added netted 8 points. Junior guard, Collin Hecker finished with 6 points and 12 rebounds. Also scoring for the Black Hawks was Alex Igwe with 6 points, Ross Hysni with 4 points, Ari Singer with 3 points, Brad Zousmer with 2 points and Neal Wagner with 2 points. The Black Hawks earned the win against the Seaholm Maples with a score of 45-33 on Monday February 11.
Week of Champions will be held Monday, March 4 - Friday, March 8, from 6-6:50 a.m. where early morning football conditioning will take place for all students interested in playing football. This a a great way for 8th graders to sample what goes into getting ready for the season! More information will be available soon at www.bloomfieldhillsblackhawksfootball.com
A football Parent/Guardian meeting will take place on Thursday, March 7, at 6 p.m. in the knowledge market at BHHS. An overview of the season will be provided, in addition to the opportunity to meet the coaching staff and ask questions.
