After speaking with DTE personnel there has been a change to the ticketing process for graduation.
Families will be issued four tickets per student, grouped in pods, in the pavilion at DTE. The lawn will not be used per DTE and MDHHS regulations. The good news is ALL SEATING will be in the pavilion. Seating pods will be assigned using a lottery system and tickets will be distributed to each student in their packet at graduation rehearsal on June 2. BHHS will provide DTE the main family contact for each student for contract tracing purposes. Here is the link for DTE’s Event Wellness Survey that must be completed within 24 hours of the event.
MANDATORY graduation rehearsal and check-out will take place on Wednesday, June 2, at 8:30 a.m. at the Bloomfield Hills High School football field. Students will pick up their cap and gown, their (1) admission ticket and their family’s (4) admission tickets at this time, FOR A TOTAL OF 5 ADMISSION TICKETS. Every person entering the venue MUST have completed the survey and have an admission ticket.
The pandemic has created unprecedented times in our lives, our schools, and our homes. We have all been affected significantly but none more than our senior class. Seniors have had to sacrifice so much these past two years, but we look forward to celebrating their graduation at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Sunday, June 6, at 1:00 p.m. with limited capacity.

May is Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month – a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. A rather broad term, Asian/Pacific encompasses all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia (New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji and the Solomon Islands), Micronesia (Marianas, Guam, Wake Island, Palau, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Nauru and the Federated States of Micronesia) and Polynesia (New Zealand, Hawaiian Islands, Rotuma, Midway Islands, Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Easter Island).
The roots of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month can be traced back to 1976, when Jeanie Jew, president of the Organization of Chinese American Women, contacted government officials in response to the lack of Asian Pacific representation in the U.S. bicentennial celebrations that same year. The observance began in 1979 as Asian Heritage Week, established by congressional proclamation. In May 1990, the holiday was expanded further when President George Bush signed a proclamation making it month-long for that year. On October 23, 1992, Bush signed legislation designating May of every year Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The diversity and common experiences of the many ethnic groups are celebrated during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with numerous community festivals as well as government-sponsored activities.

There are students in our building who are highly allergic to nuts or nut products and will be eating in these zones. Please plan snacks and lunches accordingly. We appreciate in advance your full cooperation.
