A Stand Against Gun Violence

Yesterday students and staff participated in a school-wide walkout in the main commons to honor the many lives lost to gun violence, specifically those in the Robb Elementary shooting this past Tuesday. Students gathered with signs and pledged to stand against gun violence. Everyone was urged to scan a QR code which contained resources for joining the movement for gun safety and methods to contact elected officials.

Chalk about Peace

Students from the Bloomfield Hills High School Lead 9 class recently participated in a Chalk About Peace community service event at BHHS and all three BHS middle schools. More than 50 students at each location wrote positive talk messages in chalk on the schools’ front sidewalks to uplift the community.  Olivia Lupone (9th grader, BHHS) was part of the event. “A lot of people were walking by and reading the messages,” said Lupone. “We hope they had a better day because of it.”
