Update on August 4th Bond

Dear Bloomfield Hills Schools Community,

Thank you for your generous support of Bloomfield Hills Schools at the polls yesterday. Seeing our community come together in support of all learners is heartwarming and illustrates what an extraordinary place this is to work, learn, and grow!

Today, we begin an exciting journey, moving our district forward in ways that will impact generations of learners and our community as a whole. Starting as early as next week, residents will notice survey crews on our school properties, pulling together vital information that is needed for the first phase of the project. Given the scope of the project, construction will happen in phases. We will soon share a section of our website where residents can see the bond construction progress through photos, video, and written updates.

Students are scheduled to move into their new configuration and renovated buildings in the fall of 2023 with all bond work complete in 2026. While 2023 may seem far away now, there is a great deal of work to be done in a short period of time. We look forward to continuing our community partnerships and collaboration with students, staff, families, and residents as we move into the design phase of construction and work through the logistics of our boundary realignment and other important details.

To that end, we look forward to sharing with you the many ways in which you can get involved in this important work. More details and information will be available in the fall, after the school year is off to a successful start.

Thank you again for your continued support of Bloomfield Hills Schools!

Sincerely,

Pat Watson, Superintendent
