The BHMS Be the Change Club members will be boxing up everything in the lost and found areas on various dates throughout the school year. All items will be donated to charity. Please encourage your student to check for their missing items in the main lost and found area, as well as in the girls and boys locker rooms.

Friday, June 5: Release of pre-recorded 8th Grade National Junior Honor Society Induction video via the weekly Lancer Update.
Tuesday, June 9: Bloomfield Hills High School PTO meeting specifically for current 8th grade families at 7:00 p.m. Watch for a link to this meeting under “PTO News” in an upcoming Lancer Update.
Wednesday, June 10: Evening release of pre-recorded 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony video.
Thursday, June 11: IN PERSON IN YOUR CAR! 8th Grade Student and Family Car Parade and Clap Out at BHMS.This event will start at 1:00 p.m. with staggered times based on a student’s last name by alpha. Rain date is Friday, June 12 beginning at 10:00 a.m. All participants will be asked to remain in their cars and will not have access to the building. Details will follow.

After reading about the unfair and cruel treatment of the protagonist Charlie Gordon by peers in the class science fiction short story Flowers for Algernon, by Daniel Keyes, BHMS students Madeline Ryan and Amelia Kouyoumjian found a way to increase disability awareness and encourage inclusive practices for all students at BHMS throughout the month of May.
