Bowers School Farm Summer Camps

Bowers Farm camps give campers an in-depth, authentic farm experience through hands-on exploration. Campers spend the day on a full working farm, engaging in sustainable gardening, animal care, and exploring 80+ acres of farmland. Each day, time is spent cooking and preparing fresh snacks in the kitchen, strengthening the connection between agriculture and everyday food choices. Building life skills such as responsibility, communication, and cooperation are key outcomes when campers spend their week making friends and having fun on the farm. Each camp session has a different theme, but all have common, age-appropriate, program goals: challenging ourselves, learning to work in a community, and connecting with nature.

Looking for camp experiences you can’t get anywhere else? From our preschool Barnyard Buddies camps to Farm Camp; Advanced Animal Camps or Outdoor Adventure, Bowers Farm has what it takes to bring campers back year after year. Campers learn to care for animals and they immerse themselves in agriculture on our historic farm. We make meaningful connections between humans, animals and the natural world. Bowers Farm offer camps for children ranging from age 3-14, highlighting many topics, interest areas, and age development.

Barnyard Buddies (Ages 3-5)

Barnyard Buddies is a little bit of everything around the farm and is offered for preschool-aged children. Small groups, a nurturing environment and attention to developmental milestones are at the core of these popular camps. In their action-packed day, campers are introduced to the farm animals, the gardens, and our beautiful farm. Some Barnyard Buddies themes include:

  • Five Senses Farm Fun
  • Farm on Foot Explorer Camp
  • Little Sprouts Garden Camp

Barnyard Buddies camps are half-days with two and three day sessions.
