If you're unable to visit us at the farm, we'll be happy to bring our animals to you! Bowers Farm provides this service for educational settings like schools and libraries.

Single Animal Visit

Choose the animal, the time, and the place that you would like us to visit and we will do the rest! Some popular animal visits include a turkey around Thanksgiving and baby goats or lambs in the springtime. Our staff will present a hands-on educational experience for you and your group. Given the experiential nature of this program, it is best for a group of 20 or less. If you have more than 20 people, we suggest that you divide into groups in order to receive the full benefit of the program.

Bowers Farm 4H Club

Science, agriculture and citizenship are just a few of the many spectacular opportunities that are available for Bowers Farm 4H Club members. Bowers 4H Club is fortunate enough to be located at Bowers Farm, a very unique and integral part of the local community. Bowers 4H Club offers the youth unique opportunities to learn about agriculture and work with animals despite being such an urban area.

The club typically consists of around 80 active members, all of whom put in a combined 4,820 hours volunteering on the farm and learning! The club offers a unique leasing program for all 4H members, where they can lease an animal from the farm, raise it and work with it to take to the Oakland County Fair in July. At the fair, they compete against other Oakland County 4H Clubs and members in everything from animal showmanship to photography and baking.

If you are interested in finding out more information about how you and your family can become involved in the Bowers Farm 4H Club, please reach out to ....
