Middle School Scheduling and Course Selection Process (5th, 6th, & 7th Grades) for the 2021-2022 School Year Due Date Friday, April 23

As we settle into the pace of the spring, we will be starting the scheduling process for next year. Students in fifth grade, sixth grade, and seventh grade will be completing their course selections.  To support the completion of the course selection, you will want to consult our Bloomfield Hills Schools Middle School Course Description Book for more information about our course offerings.

Our counselors have started to meet with students through their core classes.  This year, course selections will be completed electronically through a district qualtrics link.  Course selections are due Friday, April 23.  It is important that the course selections are turned in on time as it helps in preparing for next school year.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's counselor.

Carpool Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders

The carpool loop should ONLY be used for a quick drop-off and pick-up to maintain a steady flow of traffic and reduce traffic back-ups.

  1. Be Safe - For the safety of all students, drivers please watch your speeds and do not double park, especially near student crosswalks.
  2. Support Accessibility - Please be attentive to the needs of families and staff as they access the reserved spots closest to the building.
  3. Be Ready - Help your child(ren) be ready to get out of the car. If they need extra time to put on their mask, gather their belongings, finish their breakfast or to say goodbye, pull all the way forward to the end of the sidewalk or park the car in the inner lot.

Principal's Message 4-10-2021 (Saturday Edition)

Dear East Hills School Community:

It was great to have students back in the building after a week off for Spring Break.  It was particularly enjoyable to see so many smiling faces during Picture Day and the kickoff of spring sports this week!  I also wanted to share out that East Hills was once again named a Green School through the state of Michigan's Green School Program.  Thank you to Mrs. Akers for her leadership and of course our students, families, and staff for supporting our green school initiatives throughout the school year.

“Bravery comes along as a gradual accumulation of discipline.”
– Buzz Aldrin

Please remember that nuts of all kinds are restricted at East Hills because of students with severe and life-threatening allergies. The restriction is in effect in the entire building and at all times, including the school day, after school, evenings and weekends.

East Hills Middle School became a nut-restricted school in January of 2013. As a result, please carefully read and review all food packaging prior to sending food items to school. We appreciate in advance your full cooperation.
