On Monday, October 12 and Friday, October 30, Bloomfield Hills Schools will have a half day of school (the Calendar at a Glance is available HERE). Students should NOT report to the building on those days. Teaching will be remote for all students, regardless of their regular learning setting (in-person, remote, Bloomfield Virtual).

The schedule for East Hills students for both days is shown below.  Any deviations from these schedules will be communicated directly by teachers, so students should be sure to check their Google Classroom that morning before logging in.

There will not be any specials classes (physical education, music, art, Spanish, media) on October 12th or 30th.

GRADES 6, 7 & 8 will have no electives and should follow this synchronous learning schedule regardless of whether a s student is in the AM, PM, or PM-Remote cohorts:

Club Information

Each year, East Hills offers students a number of clubs for student participation.  As we start the year remotely and move into a hybrid schedule, we are exploring how best to run clubs.  In a typical year, our clubs begin in early October.  This school year we plan to roll out clubs a little later in the fall as we work with staff to determine what clubs would run best virtually.  By mid-October, we plan to share out an overview of these offerings including sign-up sheets online for students and families.  Once we know what clubs the students are interested in, they will begin to meet.  Please consider having your students join a club at East Hills!

Please remember that nuts of all kinds are restricted at East Hills because of students with severe and life-threatening allergies. The restriction is in effect in the entire building and at all times, including the school day, after school, evenings and weekends.

East Hills Middle School became a nut-restricted school in January of 2013. As a result, please carefully read and review all food packaging prior to sending food items to school. We appreciate in advance your full cooperation.
