Special Visitors to Eastover Read Books in Arabic
Eastover teachers have hosted many families as guest readers in their classrooms during March is Reading Month. Mrs. Deyar Nasir, BHS English Language Development Family Liaison and Margaret Cantwell, Eastover English Language Development Teacher welcomed Arabic-speaking as guest readers in their children's class.
Kindergartener Adam Alsaghir’s mother, Nour Ghanam, read The Very Hungry Caterpillar in Arabic. Ghanam taught the children the Arabic word for butterfly, which is “farasha.” Working together, they read in both English and Arabic.
