Congratulations to the PTO on the launch of their new and improved website! I'm hopeful that the site becomes your "go-to" for the latest information regarding Lone Pine PTO events. Our PTO is heavily involved in promoting a close, family atmosphere at Lone Pine. We hope you take every opportunity to get involved. It's a great way to stay connected with school and get to know the parents of your children's school friends.
 

As a school we fundamentally believe in the importance of a strong partnership with our parent community. We serve as the home away from home for many children from the age of six weeks through the end of 3rd grade. What a tremendous responsibility our parent community has entrusted to us! As a parent of a young child myself, I empathize with the bewildering amount of advice available to parents regarding their children. As parents we are confronted daily with suggestions from all corners, and at times it can feel overwhelming to come to a decision about how to proceed with a parenting challenge. Please know that the Lone Pine staff and I do see ourselves as partners with our parent community, and my hope is that view is reciprocated. The combined experience of an elementary staff in working with young children can exceed hundreds of years, and thousands of children. That experience is one we hope you'll feel confident and comfortable tapping during your years as a parent in our school.

Please feel free at any time to contact me, my office staff, your child's teacher, or PTO leadership with any questions or concerns regarding your child's experience at Lone Pine. It's important to all of us that your child loves coming to school every day, and that they (and you!) find an environment here that is nurturing, supportive, and fun.
