We use a lot of acronyms in the educational world, but one you should know is "ATL." ATL stands for Approaches to Learning, which encompass a set of skills defined by the International Baccalaureate program. Development of these skills is interwoven throughout the curriculum, K-12, in IB schools. See this special edition of the PYP update (click here) to learn more about the ATL's and see a wonderful example of how they play out in your child's education at Lone Pine.

Green Note

For families needing to make a change to their child's regular dismissal plans, please use a daily Green Note to let us know what the change in arrangements are. We ask that you do this day by day, and not include several days within a week on one note. Anything we all can do to reduce confusion around dismissal results in a safer process for all of our students, so we thank you for taking the extra time to support us with this.

Students in Circle

For student safety reasons, we ask that families picking up their children from Recreation programs wait outside the front door for programs to be dismissed. When programs conclude, the coaches/instructors will bring students from the class to the front door. Please do not make an attempt to enter through latchkey or otherwise subvert building security protocols in an attempt to get inside. If you would like to observe your child in a rec program, arrive before 4:30 PM to be admitted by the office staff. We thank you for your support and understanding in respecting our building security protocols.
