The Bloomfield Hills Schools Board of Education has adopted the Michigan State Core Curriculum. These standards and benchmarks are in alignment with national criteria developed by organizations such as the National Council of the Teachers of Mathematics and the National Science Foundation.

In sixth grade a rotation of Unified Arts exploratory classes are required in French or Spanish, practical and fine arts, music, life skills and physical education. In seventh grade a rotation of Unified Arts exploratory classes are required in French or Spanish, practical and fine arts, music, life skills and physical education. In eighth grade, students choose elective classes based on interest, except for physical education, which is required.
