IMPORTANT 8th Grade to High School Transition Meetings and Scheduling Appointments

There are several very important dates coming up for our 8th graders that will assist in them having a smooth, informed, and successful transition to high school.  WHMS 8th grade counselor, Mr. Castellani, has put together a newsletter with this very important information for current 8th graders, including information about the BH High School Virtual Orientation Night, the student meeting with counselors, as well as how to schedule an appointment with a BH High School counselor. Please review this extremely important information in the newsletter HERE, and schedule your 8th grader's appointment.  This newsletter also contains all of the Google Meet and Zoom links for the meetings listed below.

8th-Grade Trip Update - February 26, 2021

After working to put together an itinerary shifting the DC trip to be a northern Michigan trip, I regret to inform you that we have decided to forego an 8th-grade overnight trip this year.  With that being said, many of our families had previously made a reservation for the trip.  Student Adventures will be sending communication soon, most likely next week, with details on providing a full refund to everyone who had made a deposit or payments towards the trip.

In lieu of the overnight experience, we are working on an opportunity to provide our students an experience more locally.  Stay tuned for details on that as we plan for the remainder of the school year.

Principal Message: February 26, 2021

I am so proud to be a Warrior!  Our community's generosity resulted in a significantly large donation of food to be delivered to Open Door Outreach Center next week.  A sincere thank you to all who donated.  It was fun to see the students (and staff) dress up in bright colors, pajamas, sports and activities wear, and grade-level colors for Spirit Week. The participation was great!

Last night the Board of Education approved the recommendation of a full five-day in-person learning plan for students in kindergarten through 12th grade beginning Monday, April 5.  This plan includes a full face-to-face return and redesigned schedule for specials and unified arts classes district-wide.
