Kidz Zone

Kidz Zone is Bloomfield Hills Schools’ before and after school care program and is available at our four elementary schools. Kidz Zone is a play-based program; activities include art, quiet study and reading areas, physical fitness, games, outdoor and indoor play.

Before school and after school care is available at all elementary schools (Conant, Eastover, Lone Pine, Way.) A minimum number of students are needed to run the program.

The Kidz Zone program starts the first day of school, and ends the last of the school year. 

Elementary Kidz Zone Schedule and Fees - 2026/27
Morning 7 to 9:05 a.m. $12.00*/day
Afternoon 4 to 6 p.m. $12.00*/day
Both Morning & Afternoon (5 days)

$23.00*/day
*plus applicable processing fees


Activity Days are available on most scheduled half days
(12:20 to 6 p.m.)

  • Scheduled Kidz Zone students are eligible to attend half day care when it is offered. There must be a minimum of 10 students enrolled for each activity day to run the program.
  • Includes lunch: pizza, applesauce, baked chips, and 100% juice box (may substitute with similar items)
  • Non-refundable fees:
    • $55* if you register five full school days before the half day
    • $65* after the deadline, if space is available
    • $75* if not registered one full school day before the activity day, if space is available
      • *plus applicable processing fees

Registration is open. You will be placed on a waitlist and notified of your child's status within 10 business days after the registration and paperwork are received.

The Kidz Zone registration window opened on May 11 for families who needed FULL WEEK care for the entire school year and closed on May 18.

FULL WEEK care:

  • Monday-Friday morning and afternoon, Monday-Friday mornings only, or Monday-Friday afternoons only.
    • No schedule changes will be permitted for the duration of the school year once your FULL WEEK care registration is processed.
    • You may cancel only.
    • Families will receive notice of their application status by May 29.
    • If you need anything else, you will register with the part-time group.

The application window then opened on June 4 for families requesting PART-TIME care (not M-F AM/PM, M-F AM or PM) on and closed on June 12.  

PART-TIME care:

  • Minimum of three scheduled days per week required.
    • Option of two permanent schedule changes throughout the school year, provided we can accommodate the change
      • $25.00 schedule change fee (plus applicable processing fees)
    • Families will receive notice of their application status by July 10.

There is a $60 non-refundable registration fee due per child or $100 per family (plus applicable processing fees). Due to staffing restrictions, space is limited; therefore, please register early to secure your placement.

All users must be scheduled for specific days and times (recurring weekly schedule). Enrollment is subject to availability. If the program is full, your child will be placed on a waitlist. 

Priority is given to students in the following order:

  • 5 days full-week care: morning and afternoon
  • 5 days full-week care: morning or afternoon
  • 4 days part-time care, and finally 3 days part-time care

Please sign up for only the days you need.

After you complete your online registration, you will receive a confirmation email with additional instructions. Please submit the required paperwork within three days, or your registration will be cancelled.
