Fall Middle School Forensics Competition

BHMS, EHMS, and WHMS Forensics teams traveled to Ionia, MI to participate in the Middle School Fall Forensics Tournament.

Individuals, pairs, and groups of students practice for months preparing a variety of performances.

Forensics categories include, but are not limited to, Storytelling (memorizing and performing a story that has already been written), Original Interpretation (students write, memorize and perform their own unique piece), and Multiples (a group of students perform a condensed version of a piece of entertainment), as well as many other fascinating categories that enable middle school students to gain public speaking skills.

At Forensics competitions, students perform their piece three times, in front of three different judges.

Many thanks to all of the coaches and families for your dedication and commitment to training and assisting our middle school Forensics club students.

Between the three middle schools, students in Bloomfield Hills Schools received a total of 72 awards in 14 categories, and took home 11 first place awards! BHS students were recognized at the December 2018 Board of Education Recognition Ceremony to celebrate their season of successes. Way to go!
