Congratulations to Nature Center educator, Jody Harrington, for recently being honored with the Michigan Association of Environmental and Outdoor Educators (MAEOE) 2017 Recognition Award! Jody’s work at the Nature Center continues to leave a positive impact on many of K-12 students and families in Bloomfield Hills Schools.

The MAEOE recently honored several Michigan educators for their work in bringing science and nature to students in the classroom and to the public through other creative outlets at their annual conference held at Central Michigan University.

“She has shared her passion for environmental education for over 30 years in the Southfield Public Schools and more recently the E.L. Johnson Nature Center. Her love for nature, curiosity, and enthusiasm has been an inspiration to students and staff and all who have walked a path with Jody. We are fortunate indeed to count Jody as one of our outstanding Bloomfield Hills Schools staff members," expressed Dan Badgley, Nature Center Manager.

Thank you, Jody, for your continued support in educating our students and families!
