Since being here, I have learned that the tradition of excellence that exists is due to the amazing people who contribute in so many way sand the hard work of our students, staff, and educators.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about myself and my family. First and foremost, I am a husband and father. My wife Tammy and I have three children: Ryan, Rachel, and Renee. Ryan is an education major at Wayne State University. Rachel is a micro-biology student at Wisconsin-Madison. Renee is a junior in high school.
I am very committed to creating educational opportunities that enable all students to become contributing and participating members of the ever-changing society and make a positive difference in the world. My 26 years as an educator include being a classroom teacher, department head, coach, camp director, athletic director, assistant principal, and principal.
As your Superintendent, it is my responsibility to provide the best educational opportunities to all of our students in a safe and nurturing environment. I deeply believe in a quality and comprehensive education for all students. Bloomfield Hills Schools is known not only for its academic success and extracurricular programs, but also for the positive and healthy relationships that our staff have with our students. I am honored that you have entrusted the children of this community to our care and expect our amazing staff to give their all each and every day.
My mission as your Superintendent is to maintain and grow a rigorous teaching and learning environment that provides every student with a sense of belonging while helping students grow. I believe that every student's success is measured by the ability to become intellectual, emotional, and social beings so that when they graduate from our district, they have the skills necessary to pursue and achieve their goals and dreams.
Thank you for the great honor of being your Superintendent.
